Using Audio Prompts in a Thread

How to attach and use audio files as prompts inside Euryka Threads.

1 min read Updated 27 Apr 2026

Euryka Threads accept audio files as input. When you attach an audio file, Euryka automatically transcribes it and passes the text to the AI as part of your message. This means you can speak a prompt, record a meeting, or upload a voice note and the AI will work from what was said.

Supported audio formats

  • MP3
  • OGG
  • WAV
  • M4A
  • AAC

Maximum file size: 25 MB per file.

Attaching an audio file

  1. Open the thread input.
  2. Click the attachment icon (paperclip).
  3. Select your audio file.
  4. Click Send (or attach additional files first).

Euryka transcribes the audio automatically and includes the transcription as part of the message. The AI then responds based on what was said in the recording.

Use cases

  • Voice notes — speak your prompt naturally instead of typing
  • Meeting recordings — upload a recording and ask the AI to summarise, extract action items, or draft follow-up emails
  • Interviews — attach an interview recording and ask the AI to analyse or quote from it
  • Dictation — record a draft and let the AI clean it up, format it, or expand it

Tips

  • For long recordings (e.g. 1-hour meetings), break them into segments if you're hitting the file size limit
  • The Files tool must be enabled if you want the AI to reference the transcription again later in the same thread. See Thread tools.
