Two new AI models are now available in the model selector: Claude Fable 5 and Kimi K3. Because some of the newest models cost significantly more to run, we've also added clearer visual cues so you always know before you send a message whether a model requires a Pro plan or carries a higher cost.
New models available
Claude Fable 5 — a new high-capability model, available in a standard version and a Claude Fable 5 (extended reasoning) version for tasks that benefit from deeper step-by-step thinking.
Kimi K3 — a new addition to the model list. The previous version, Kimi K2.6, is now marked as a legacy model and remains available for existing threads.
How to use it
Open the model dropdown at the top of the message composer.
Browse the list to find Claude Fable 5, Claude Fable 5 (extended reasoning), or Kimi K3.
If a model requires a Pro plan, you'll see it listed at half opacity with an upgrade prompt. Select it to see upgrade options.
For higher-cost models, a cost warning dialog appears before you send your first message, showing a visual comparison of the cost relative to a standard model like Claude Sonnet 5. Review it and confirm to continue.
Tips
Which models are gated behind Pro can change over time, since access is based on each model's relative cost rather than a fixed list. If a model you used before is suddenly gated, it's because its cost tier changed, not a mistake.
Extended reasoning versions (like Claude Fable 5's) generally cost more per message than the standard version — reach for them when you need more thorough reasoning, not for everyday requests.
Kimi K2.6 still works in your existing threads, but we recommend switching to Kimi K3 for new conversations.
